Título: Model-based inference under informative sample designs.
Resumo: When the sampling probabilities are related to the values of the outcome variable after conditioning on the model covariates, the sampling process is considered informative, and the model that holds for the sample data then differs from the corresponding population model prior to sampling. Ignoring the sampling process in such cases may lead to biased point estimators and may distort the analysis. In this talk, I will revisit some works I developed with co-authors in different contexts in which the observed sample is considered informative. I will begin by discussing rare and clustered populations in which adaptive cluster sampling is applied. Then, I will address the problem in the context of inference for quantiles. Finally, I will briefly present an approach within the framework of item response models.
